Has anyone been selected to attend the Unpacked on August 23rd? My wife, son and I Received the invitation and signed up but of course we haven't heard anything.

Samsung hasn't announced anyone yet, so we all (who received that email) have a chance still. They're still working out some details they said.

Gosh. So many. Brooklyn, Manhattan & BX. I'm not the fondest of Harlem surprisingly. But where I'll never go again? Far Rockaway. loL

Lol thanks. I so want to just explore. Want to see statue of liberty and central park even tho I was told never to go there in the dark lol. But every place you go has saying like that

Sweet! I had a Note 4 with Verizon, a Note 5 with Verizon, switched to AT&T and got a Note 5 with them then two Note 7s with AT&T and now I've been running my S7 Active waiting for the Note 8 with AT&T. Do I get an eMail? Nope! Loyalty points I guess...

...and I'm South of Boston - I could drive to NY and save Samsung some money!!!

We definitely hit me up and i can tell you all the fun places that I went to. New York is so awesome, and the people are friendly contrary to popular belief. I am from DC, so maybe I just don't see it LoL

I went to New York for another phone event some years ago, hence my screen name. It was for Blackberry. I had won a brand new Z10. It was such an amazing phone. Then I won a Playbook and attended an event here in DC. It was so cool.

I almost wanted to have a little text or twitter group where we could each inform each other in real time. LoL Not a lot of people were sent that email in the grand scheme it seems like. I really would love to go though because Unpacked has actually been a long standing dream of mine. i'm a tech nut who hasn't missed one digitally, but being there in the trenches would give me inspiration for a blog/webcast I'd like to do.

I have to be honest, I don't know how the criteria were set for this. I just counted my blessings because this email in itself went a long way with me. I never felt (for my situation in particular) enough was done. So this just validated my feelings. As a customer. That feels good.

And hey, I'll will make a partial promise to you. LoL If my really good friend (who also had a Note 7) backs out as my plus one (if I'm blessed enough to win), I'll invite you if you'd like to come. I don't have anyone else in mind that could go with me, and I would love to share the blessings!

Thank you for the thought, but with the condition of my back, I'd never be able to walk around down there. I had back surgery a few years ago and since then, I have been walking with a cane, severe sciatic pain in my right leg - lots of fun! Just busting Samsung's chops wondering what their criteria was basically! That was seriously nice of you to offer though!

I know they only ran the contest for about 24 hours (I kinda read the fine print, lol) and I was happily surprised to get the email, because the Note 7 was my first of many... My First Note, First Samsung, First Android, First Non-BlackBerry in about 9 years... I hope I can get off work if I get a chance to go!
