Samsung Vibrant has "death grip" issue too?

Anyone else having this issue? My sister in laws bf has this phone and for the life of us we can't recreate it.

I gotta say this phone is awesome! I still love my Evo, but damn Samsung made a really nice product. Not crazy about touchwiz though. BUt that's what rooting is for! lol

I'm making calls without any bars too. This is my first tmobile phone so I'm a bit concerned. Its an amazing phone but I can't make calls or receive calls its not going to be be mine for long.
