Samsung XCover2 phone weird behaviour

[Android Central Question]

Anyone knows this problem?
Phone has worked flawlessly before. After recharging & startup shows a popup of technical specs (factory specs) and seems factory reseted, everything wiped, asks for software update. No Internet connection (although SIM card OK and I also got a new one to be sure), but I can connect to a network so phone seems to work. Tried also factory reset, no difference, same startup.
In factory reset, it says:
E: failed to mount /efs (invalid argument)
Also noted: SAMSUNG-logo stays much longer

Running very outdated andriod and hardware it could be any of those things , your best off moving on to something newer.

Welcome to Android Central! That would suggest a hardware failure. Are you able to boot it successfully to the homescreen now, or is it just stuck on the Recovery Menu?

Hopefully you were keeping your important data backed up or synced somewhere.
