Samsung Z Fold 3 Pre-orders.

This will cause the 512 model to be back ordered fast. Anyone ordering a 512 be patient, I am predicting delays.

My thought is there were not enough people pre-ordering this variant initially, so they added this extra 100$ off through the app. I know this deal wasn't there before today/tonight. I looked before. So far delivery date is still "by the 27th of August".

Honestly I think it has been bouncing back and forth because I saw it on day one and thought I was mistaken. Went back and it was gone. Now I see that it's back. Look like it's staying longer this time. I don't see them needing to off load the 512gb version as it's always in short supply even when not cheaper than the lower gig models.

Samsung app pricing, trade in promos and discounts have been changing. I had it where I could trade in 4 items and pay $55 for the fold 3, now I can't get it below $180. The same goes for the$200 promo they are advertising for app only discount. All Samsung is doing is changing the wording of the discount. If they offer more here they are taking it away from somewhere else.

After watching the videos and reading up on it, I think I might take the 21 day try out plunge for the Fold 3 to see how it goes and it would be my chance to actually try it. I still have a lot of skepticism but not much to lose in order to give it a try!

That's a lot how I tried the fold 2. I bought it on swappa for $1,500. I figured if I didn't like it I could just sell it and probably break even or minimal loss. Haven't looked back, love it.

I will soon find out. I was thinking that for a while I've been wanting Samsung to release a small tablet - like 7 inches or so, and I thought maybe this is worth trying. I will probably use the cover screen the most so I am also wondering if I will adapt back to the narrower screen. I see in most videos it's set to have 4 app icons across where I normally have mine set to 5 across. Would things be too tiny to try to mimic the layout I have on my Note, I wonder?

It took me some time to get used to the narrowness, though I swipe instead of peck and it's ok. The biggest finger memory curve was gesture actions with my case, as it has lips on all edges that made it difficult. It's been all good and felt more secure with the case. YMMV

Correct! The edge panel has been Awesome with more that can be added and grouped together. Excellent reminder sir!

My 512 GB order changed tonight to Backorder. But says ships week of August 25th.... which is wierd since original delivery was by August 27th.

Hey there! No not smaller, I chose to make everything BIG in the system settings. ALSO, If you long press in an empty area on the screen you'll get a menu, choose settings and it'll take you to the home screen settings. I'll see if I can upload a screen shot....
Never played in the launchers sandbox, so Maybe someone else will share there experience with Nova on the ZF2!
Yeah cases... believe it or not I bought a belt pouch, the "Ringke Slim" case, a "Humixx Phone Ring Holder, Cell Phone Finger Stand", with a "Bargains Depot New 5mm High-Sensivity Fiber Tip Capacitive Stylus Dual-tip Universal Touchscreen Pen" and haven't looked back!
Case has been great, the touchscreen pen worthwhile, and end up when out, putting the phone in the back pocket and don't use the pouch. All good... good luck!

I use nova launcher. It works good. Well, I think it works good anyway. There's a couple things missing in settings I used to use, I'm assuming the developer took it away...just some small things...like adjusting the speed of scrolling thru the home page, I used to set it to super fast. It's missing the animation in scrolling the app pages, now it just slides side to side. Those are things I notice gone...I don't know if developer took it oway or if it's limited to the phone.

Other then stuff missing, it works great, no stuttering, stuff like that, just some features not there for some reason.


Edit...I just looked at my note 20U, those options are gone on that also. So IMO the developer took crap away he should have left alone. I'm not going to lie, those things have made me think of trying the native OS, but I've been using Nova for years. I don't know why they took those features away.

Any Galaxy Note 20 owners planning to get the Z Fold 3? A year ago, I couldn't imagine owning any phone other than a Note, but I'm excited about the Z Fold 3 with S Pen support (although I really wish there were a slot for it on the phone.) I'm already registered for the pre-order perks.

I've noticed since release day they keep changing the tiers of trade INS. I used to be able to trade in a S10+ for $300 for the third trade in, now it only gives option to trade in S10+ with cracked screen for $120.
