Hello everyone. I bought the p8 and until now I am more than happy with the telephone.

Reading around I figured out that has relatively high sar values.

Anyone else concerned? What is your idea?

I thank you in advance

I've been using two way radios at a much more dangerous frequencies, right up against my skull, for 58 years. If anything happens to my brain, I'll let you know. It seems to be functioning, though (although I do have my senior moments - but I've earned the right.)

The radiation absorbed from a cellphone isn't ionizing so all it's doing is creating heat - probably enough to measure - with very sensitive instruments - for about an area of your skin about the size of a postage stamp. Stepping out into the noon sunshine in the summer for 10 seconds is far more dangerous than 24 straight hours of a cellphone call - UVB is ionizing to a slight extent.

Your body absorbs electromagnetic radiation all the time, unless you live in a totally dark cave in the middle of nowhere - we evolved to accept that from the time our first amphibian ancestors set foot on dry land. What's important is whether the radiation is ionizing or not - the stuff from cellphones isn't, the stuff outside (from the sun) is. You've heard of sun poisoning, you've never heard of cellphone poisoning. (SAR is just a governmental "we're addressing the problem" response to a lot of Luddite FUD. If you're being seen doing something the idiots are satisfied - even if what you're doing is totally ineffective against a non-problem.)

The number of people who have died of cellphone exposure is probably equal to the number of non-medical-researchers (or terrorists) who died of smallpox last year - about 0.

Thanks for your prompt reply. I am normally using bluetooth headphones for talking on the phone. I am mostly using it for reading news and forums as i am not talking a lot on the phone.

My main concern is my daughter that sometimes is using it for playing games.

I'm new to this forum and apparently I'm not allowed to include any links in my comments until I reach a certain amount of posts.
Anyway,
if you want to learn more about the dangers of non ionizing radiation just look up the following articles and videos with Google:

I know many people will find this stuff disturbing, but I think that the bitterest truth is better than the sweetest lie...
