Scale PDF to screen noob question

Please forgive me if this question has been asked and answered somewhere else, frankly I'm not even sure how to search for the issue.

I want to be able to read PDFs on my phone but without using a magnifying glass. They don't scale to the resolution (their point, I know) but it's annoying to have to scroll sideways as well as up and down.

Are there any apps which would allow me to read a PDF and set the view to scale to the resolution of my phone without me having to change the file?

Thanks

Al.

Are you unable to use the pinch-to-zoom feature? I find this to be pretty straightforward to zoom in and out when needed.

No need to apologize! That’s a great question, and it’s a common issue for anyone reading PDFs on mobile. It can definitely be frustrating to navigate a document that wasn’t designed for smaller screens.

You might want to try a PDF reader app with reflow or "text reflow" mode. This feature reformats the document so that the text fits the screen width, allowing you to scroll vertically only. Adobe Acrobat Reader, for example, offers this feature—just open your PDF and select the "Text Reflow" mode. Another good option is Foxit PDF Reader, which also allows for comfortable reading on mobile.

Hope that helps, and happy reading!
