Screen Appears to be damaged. Hardware Key Control Activated

AC Question

I dropped my phone and it sustained a hairline crack in the screen which activated these controls. However the crack is so slight.... Is there anyway to deactivate this fail safe??? Or do I have to go in a get new glass??
