Screen burn in

I'm considering an S7 with no issues, or a S7 with burn in seen only on a white screen for $100 less. The burn in was faint and not really noticeable. Will it get worse? Is it indicative of future problems?

What would you recommend I do? Thanks for any advice.

The S7 uses an AMOLED screen. AMOLED burns in. The tech gets better and better every year, but it still burns in. It is part of the way the technology works, unfortunately.

Having said that, I am on an older tech AMOLED (Note 4) and the burn-in on mine is barely noticeable - oh, and I play Ingress, so the burn-in is elements of the screens on that game only since I tend to run the game a lot.

So, if you have normal usage patterns (and more importantly, usage patterns that put different elements on the screen than the former user), it probably won't degrade too much further than it has already.

Then again, if you are like me... LOL
