Screen comes on

I am having a major problem that I cannot figure out. It started with my notification sound coming on about every minute. Deleted FB messenger app and the sound stopped. But now just about every minute the screen will come on like there is a notification. I have turned off all notifications, NCF, location services and have even started deleting apps...but it is still doing it...HELP!!!!!!!

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Does it happen in Safe Mode? Or after a cache partition wipe? If you don't know how to do either, let us know which device you have first.
