Screen flicker while phone is off...

Really it's not a big problem, how often do we turn off the phone and then push the power button quickly and let go....

That was my thought -- I hardly every power my phone off completely!

I had read about people having that problem and I checked and I don't have it. 6 Pro here...

Re: Flash?

Both me and my friend. It happens when the phone is completely powered off and you tap the power button. Obviously you need to hold it for a few seconds for the phone to power up, but if you just tap it is as if it's about to power on then changes it's mind.
If you hold it does it flash before phone turns on?

Are you going to exchange your phone?

I just tested it and if I hold it to power on the phone it doesn't flicker anything what's so ever it immediately brings up the Google logo and powers on as normal. Only the quick tap causes that power flickering.

I think I'm going to open a ticket with Google so it's on record Incase it is a hardware issue so I can get a replacement. Hopefully it's a software/firmware fix is all that's needed. Either way since I'm Fi customer and purchase from the Google store they always send me the replacement first and only then I need to ship the defective device back so I'm not sweating it. Especially with all the backorders and stuff this issue does not effect anything I so but regardless I want a new device if it's a hardware issue.

Then why not put in for it now? It will take 2 months to replace.

I would shut off the phone to test this out but I'm looking at my beautiful screen and I really don't want to shut it off. I think I'll leave it on and enjoy my friends here
