Screen goes blank during web browsing

Once in a while, when navigating to various web pages, the screen goes blank, not dark but a uniform gray/white. It just sits there. I can rotate the phone and see that the background rotates as it should. I can barely see the scroll bar indication on the right side and if I swipe up or down, it suggests that the page is scrolling. I get impatient with it, waiting maybe 10-15 seconds. What seems to clear it is if I hit the back button once maybe twice, I get back to a page and everything is OK. Or navigate to another webpage. I don't have any sense of when/why it does this.

Does this happen to anyone else?

I get the same issue. It's like the phone is trying to arrange all of the puzzle pieces it just downloaded. It seems intermittent with me.

Same here as well, but I don't believe it is only on the Vivid, I've had this happen on my Sony Xperia also, it might be something with the browser or ICS. Don't ever remember seeing this in Ginger bread.

I use Dolphin HD and see none of this...

It is the stock browser and it happens due to a glitch in the browser carrying over from GB. What I do to stop it is zoom out and zoom in, then scroll up.
