Screen is misaligned!

It doesn't matter if these devices are massed produced, we have a right as consumers to "get what we pay for". These aren't $20 throw away devices you buy at your local 7-11. The last time I checked, I'm paying $200 out of pocket and the rest is subsidized in my plan for what? A tilted screen? I don't think so.

Besides, after talking to the wife I decided to let it go because it's not that bad. I did however, email HTC's support and complained about the issue to them so it's on record that there is a problem.

anckentuckey, so, if you bought a pair of...levis, or jnco's jeans and one leg was 1" shorter than the other, you would keep and wear them right? They are massed produced ya know!

Did you really just bring up jnco's? I have seen a pair of those in over 10 years...that's awesome..

man som of you guys really have too much time on your hand. I dont see anything. its like thinking of it and you are seeing it. But it actually is perfect. LOL.

There is nothing wrong with the screen, it looks perfect to me. I mean isn't it all black in all the corners?

my wife noticed it being tilted on her's as soon as she booted it up. i had a hard time noticing it though. its ever so slightly so not exchanging it and perhaps getting another one thats worse in some other area.

Honestly I think they all are like that. It doesn't bother me that much as long as It's not just mine. Like sambao21 said you might get another one with something worse.

Has anyone considered that maybe it is the paint around the screen that is actually misaligned???

Sent From My 3VO!

Doesn't appear to be misaligned with the paint but either way it also appears to be the same with all of them.

I think majority of them are like that but certainly not all. I exhanged mine for another issue and the new one I have is perfectly centered.

I got a second replacement and the screens the same. I really think this is how most of them are.

Really? This is disappointing to hear... I was just thinking about taking this back tonight to try to get a centered one. I already returned one due to dust building up under the screen, but I don't want to take this one back just to be stuck with the same problem. I guess that the majority of this first batch are misaligned. I'm fairly certain that they screen was dead centered on my first one though.

I honestly didn't notice until someone mentioned it. I can be a bit nitpicky when it comes to my phones but this really doesn't bother me much cause It's so slight It's not that noticeable. I love the phone (provided I don't have a dead pixel and i can hear someone clearly on the other end of the call, which was the problem with my last two).

Good luck taking it back to the Sprint store cause they are annoying when it comes to showing them a problem. There rule is if I can't see it then forget you.

I was worried about that. It usually takes me a minute to explain it to someone I know, so I'm sure explaining it to someone who probably doesn't want to see it will be even harder. I'm guessing that the vast majority of people don't even notice this... they don't have the level of OCD that we do LOL.

I ordered a replacement ...hopefully the screen will be straight but I doubt it. Also, I'm dropping 2 to 3 calls a day where as with my ogEVO, I had great reception just about everywhere and only dropped a handful in the year I had it. I can handle the screen being off slightly but can't handle poor reception problems.

OK, so I was at the mall last night so I stopped at the 2 sprint stores there to have a look at their display models. At the first store, the display model was actually more tilted than mine by quite a bit. At the second store, the display model was spot on... it looked dead-centered to both me and the guy working there. He pulled out his own 3D and his screen tilt was about the same as mine... maybe a little less. I feel bad... he said he wished that I had never came in because he had never noticed it before then. In any case he said that I should try to get a replacement in the store that I bought it in... apparently they can't do an exchange unless you're at the store of purchase.

In summary, it looks like this is a widespread problem. It seems that a high percentage of this first batch of Evo3Ds have the screen tilt, although I have seen one device that looked like it was centered. My device doesn't have dead pixels or dust under the screen and runs flawlessly so far... no other problems. That being said, the crookedness really bothers me. Still haven't decided if its worth taking it in to try to exchange it.
