Hey guys, just did the switch from BB over to Android with my new S4 so still in the learning process and here to ask a few questions.

Screen lock - I'm having trouble figuring out something..I want to lock the screen only when I hit the power button, meaning if I don't hit the power button it won't lock and it will just dim and eventually timeout at how many seconds I set it at and pressing the home button will turn the screen on again without having to unlock anything. Is this possible? I've done some searching and I couldn't really find an answer..

Battery life - I've noticed the S4 drains a significant amount of battery. I've turned off almost all smart features and have power saving mode enabled but it seems that even having the screen on at low brightness and doing nothing it can take up to 1% every 2-3 minutes with the screen just being on. Is this normal considered on the S4? I have heard that this device drains battery life in general but I didn't expect this much.

Any comments are greatly appreciated!

For screen lock, try a custom screen locking app, (or even change screen lock security to none if you want to keep it stock)

For battery life, make sure LTE is off as well if no need for it, use WiFi whenever possible. Android devices are generally battery hogs to begin with.
