Yeah thats the sensor calibration problem. Happens every time I change ROMs, k0nane's link will fix it.

I was sure this would work for me. I went thru the /system/bin/sensorcalibutil_yamaha cal process and it said success, however the lag is still there. I did this twice then re-read the part about rebooting right after so I tried a third time and rebooted. -Lag is still there.. A long 3 seconds.. It works.. Just a long lag. If I go past the 90 deg, say 120 deg. and back to 90 it snaps on right away.. Any other suggestions?

Sorry to resurrect old thread but out of nowhere my Epic just stopped rotating entirely. Have no ida why. Tried recalibrating it using both the built in toll and using Terminal Aemulator as outlined earlier in thread but still nothing. WIll go into landscape mode only if watching video or if I foce it to when viewing web site or if I open keyboard. Could I have accidentally pressed a button somewhere I shouldn't have? At a loss here and all searches coming up empty.

Hmm, hopeing that you're rooted, lay the phone horizontaly while doing the calibration throught the Terminal Emulator, after this, Shut off the screen, and turn it back on, that should work wonders now
But one lil extra thing, which i've gotten the habit to do "whenever i flash a room that comes with this stupid bug", I go to the phones Setting then the Screen option, and all the way down, there's also a calibrating feature, not sure if this helps too, but i do it, and it still quick.

Has anyone found a fix for the screen rotation lag in EG22?

Edit: Nevermind. All I had to do was just tap 'Horizontal calibration' and I fixed it
