Screen protector or not?

After using the Fosman I do see the slight halo people are talking about. Very miniscule to me that is. I will say I think it's better to wait for more reputable company's products. It will do for now. As I said before I will be getting a zagg glass as soon as it is available for me to pick up. And lol, I don't have a camera available right now I am @ work. Thus I don't have the ability to take a picture of the phone in the camo Otterbox. Hopefully this afternoon.

Can you tell me if the Wireless charging will work with the Defender case on the phone?

Yes. I have had one on every smartphone in my possession. Now a case I'm still debating, the slim see-thru cases are tempting.

Awesome! Mind letting me know how the quality is? Have you used any other glass screen protector brands?

Ok I've gotten the Skinomi protector on, it goes on pretty smooth and fairly easy. its a wet install I've never done a wet install before, just dry installs and tempered glass installs. so I accidentally put my finger nail imprint on it three different times but its not bad at all. No bubble or fingerprints. here's a pic

Thanks for the pic but I thought you said you purchased the glass one that I posted a link. This one isn't glass correct?

Has anyone used Skinomi before? Thinking of giving this a shot seeing as it is so cheap. Hard to think the quality of Zagg is worth the extra $25 in difference. Could be wrong though.

Amazon.com: Skinomi Tech Glass - Samsung Galaxy S6 Glass Screen Protector with Lifetime Replacement Warranty / Ultra Thin (.33mm Thickness) Premium Tempered Glass - Crystal Clear 9H Hardness with Oleophobic Coating - 99% Clarity and Touchscreen Accur

I used them all the time, they're pretty good. I usually get them or ArmorSuit (I tend to prefer how ArmorSuit cuts their skins but the screen protectors are about equal).

I have always used glass screen protectors in all my devices. Then I acquired a Note Edge. The only ones that are available are the film screen protector. I used the one I got from Verizon. That lasted about a week. Then I got a Skinomi which went on well but, the feel of plastic is not great and the screen protector has slight scratches from the stylus. I have been thinking about taking the film one off and going without one.

The vendors keep putting off the glass screen protectors for my device. They were supposed to release it in January, then February and then March.

So IMO, its either a glass screen protector or none at all.

Hey Tech Fan. I had a Skinomi on my Edge as well. I took it off last night and even though I touted it on the Edge forum, I love the feel of the GG4 glass so much better. Like you, if there was a tempered glass, I'd try it fast, just like you. See you back on the Edge forum.

Yeah I always go with a screen protector. Sometimes the glass ones if I am craving the authentic feel but I hate how they are raised a bit.

Like others said, I like to keep my devices as nice as possible for resell value

Ha. I touted the Skinomi as well for the first 2-3 weeks. Now when I look at it, I cannot stand it. When the screen is on, I do not notice it as much as when I look at with the screen off.

Your right I mixed it up, my apologies

That is one that I currently have. Its an Iroo case I bought off of Amazon. Its very thin and has sort of a smoke back to it. It won't offer me much in the way of protection. Its definitely not as thick or wide as the UAG case that I had.

Btw, I think I paid about $8 on Amazon for the case. The other one that I purchased was a Tridea with a leather brown back. That gave me a little more added protection on the back with the camera. I feel a littler safer when I use that case. Its not as thin as the Iroo but, its not all that bad either. I think I that case was about $12

That's funny man. I just pulled the Skinomi back at 2 am after trying all day not to, and as I unraveled the Skinomi, I saw a vast difference in display quality. I had to have the bare glass back and as I took it all off, the glass felt amazing. Ha is right!

Smartphones are expensive — you wouldn’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on one and end up with a scratched screen. Many people still buy screen protectors to protect those screens, but they’ve become less necessary.

Screen protectors were once practically mandatory, but advances in glass and coatings have made them unnecessary for most people. You don’t have to buy a screen protector when you get a new phone.

Now I have 2 things to debate, my only worry is if it falls screen first which might be more of a problem for just a screen protector.

Unless of course you want to protect the screen. TPU and Tempered Glass screen protectors offer a buffer against drops (TPU will absorb shocks, Tempered Glass will shatter instead of your screen generally).

Personally I prefer TPU, my finger can't tell the difference between a well applied wet-apply protector and glass, plus it'll stick to curved screens. But some people like the glass.

I you ever want to sell your phone this is a good idea (worth a lot more without scratches on the screen).

However, for me I like the screen better without protection (living on the edge ;-)

I don't by the phone to sell it, I buy to use it (even though this ends up costing me some money when I eventually do try to sell it)... Ah well.

I tore mine off today from my Note Edge. Kind of made me nervous but, at the same time, I can see much better without it. Sorry Skinomi.

I just installed the Skinomi wet install protector on the s6 edge yesterday. the film is rather thick and kind of orange peelish looking and definitely hinders the beauty of the screen however, I need that scratch protection and just in case of a fall protection. Also I must admit one positive thing about this protector is that fingerprints don't show up that much and they wipe off very easily unlike the actual screen or any tempered glass I've ever used

I always put a screen protector on every phone I buy, immediately. The packaging laminate doesn't come on until the protector is ready to go on, haha.

Oddly, I only do this with my phones. My tablet (Galaxy Tab S 8.4) does not have a protector, but I have the Samsung Book Cover that protects the screen when not in use.

Definitely a case of "To each their own" when deciding. :)
