Screen protectors will stop the fingerprint reader from working: knock-out criterium?

Let ur screen get cracked with no warranty and suit urself
Screen protectors protect screens against scratches, not cracks. Drop a phone with the best glass screen protector on its face, on a concrete sidewalk, with a little pebble on it, and the screen will turn to shards, while the protector turns to gravel.

So his test with glass screen protector failed. Worked with plastic. I currently use a Spigen plastic to avoid dealing with the curved edges and hasn't bothered me.

Maybe I missed it but I didn't see him opening it without pressing the power button first. Doesn't that defeat the purpose? It's just like opening the S10E from the power button. One of the big reasons I chose the S10 over the S10E because of that so I'm hoping it still works well when the screen is black.

One thing I wanted to point out about the glass protector failing to register his fingerprint is that on the White Dome instructions for the S10 it states that you have to register your fingerprint AFTER the glass screen protector is installed. I'm not saying that his specific glass protector would of worked regardless but it's obviously a factor in making it function properly as White Dome states
