Screen Redraw w/ Jelly Bean?

Ever since the Jelly Bean update, I've noticed that my home screen redraws (i.e. refreshes) almost every time I go back to the home screen from an app. My beginners knowledge of how Android works tells me that this is a RAM management issue.

Does anyone else have this issue?

If so, what's the cause and how do you fix it?

Thanks, but it is unchecked. I haven't messed with the developer options on this phone. I have noticed the issue as soon as JB was installed.

Give this a try:
Go to settings-apps-all
Scroll down to circles, tap it, clear data
Back into all apps
Scroll down to home screen, tap it, clear data.
Close the settings.

You will have to setup your home page again to your liking, but it should take care of the redraw problem. Should being the operative word.

I hate to return this phone but the redraw is annoying as hell...is the only solution to install another launcher?

That seems a little drastic, especially if you have a lot of pages. Tried Nova Launcher, could not find a setting to import my current home page.
Thanks, Dick

By the way, here's Nova vs. Stock on my HD, with Nova on top. The stock screenshot was taken about a month ago, so it's not a perfect match, just very close.

Re-installed Nova Launcher, got the import to work. Get error "Circles not supported on third party apps"
Thx, Dick

Yes, there's an alternative to the circles widget. Don't know the details off the top of my head but read about them in this forum

Install One More Clock Widget from the play store and use the chrome rings theme. This is what I'm using with Nova launcher. Silky smooth...much better than the stock launcher.

I didn't know you could change the grid density on stock.

Yeah not being able to use Circles is the one real drawback, because it's an awesome widget. But Nova Launcher just gives you an overall better phone imo. Takes some playing around to get it set up nicely.
