Screen remains for a split second on wake.

I'm not sure if anyone else is seeing this on theirs.

When I wake the phone up from sleep, the previous screen, be it one of the home screens, website, etc, shows up briefly before showing my lock screen background.

It happens about 90% of the time.

Is this a known issue with Android in general or something new with GS3?

I thought it was go locker. I even wrote to the dev about the second or two delay. Oops. Maybe it is something faulty with the software. Or are you using go locker as well?

go locker gave me problems like that on other phones but never on the s3. make sure u set go locker as default home screen (know its not a home screen but it works)

Mine does this too, with stock Touch wiz launcher. Very brief.

No I'm not using go locker. Just stock touchwiz.
It's not a big deal, but i'd rather see it working properly.. I'm concerned because mine is from a first batch of s3.

There's no way it's a hardware issue. I wouldn't worry and instead send Samsung a note and hope they address this in a future update. For me it's such a brief flash it hasn't been a bother.
