Screen sensitivity issues anyone?

I have small problems with touch screen issue, but more with reception issue. I sent my phone in to Samsung this week and I will try to update when it returns.

So I ended up sending my phone to Samsung for repairs, via Rogers store. Rogers calls me up today says Samsung is refusing to repair the phone, as they claim the phone was rooted. I've had the phone for a month...and it was never rooted...what the hell is going on here!!!

Not too bad of a turn around time to fix a phone that was less then 30 days old...

For touch screen problem try this:
-in dialer type *#2663#
-TSP firmware update (general)
You should see "PASS"

This method solved my unresponsive touchscreen issue.

Yesterday afternoon I unbox my brand spanking new Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge 128 GB phone... everything worked great, got things just how I wanted.. even stayed up late playing with my new toy. Today, not even a full 24 hours...The finger print fails to read.. more and more often. While tapping to open an app it took me 6-7 tries. Typing something was horrible.. same deal 6-7 times just to type a single letter.
Thinking, well maybe it's an app messing things up, I reset it to factory defaults... it comes back up and it's so bad I can't type my name.
Called AT&T and am having them ship me a new replacement. I'm hoping this was just a freak accident.... if not it's iPhone 6; because what good are all this awesome features on the Samsung if you can't get them to work?

I can also confirm that this solved my unresponsive screen.
No issues since :) Hope this helps someone else, because the unresponsive screen is the most annoying thing ever!!!

Great info in this thread! Interesting how many different solutions has worked for the same issue. Screen insensitivity, not responding to touches is the worst annoyance ever. I'm glad to see folks getting it mostly resolved. I cannot recall a phone in recent memory anyway that has had so many various issues as the S6.

So this fix seemed to work for me but when I tried to update teh TSP firmware update for the internal storage it said fail every time. Should I be concerned about this?

Are people still having this issue? I got my Verizon S6 a month ago at best buy. It's been fine, then in the last week, i've noticed very similar issues. It's not all the time. Sometimes it works fine. When it's bad, I can usually get about 1 out of 5 swipes from the top of the screen to actually pull down the menu. And forget about using it when it's on a flat surface. The only thing that seems to cure it, is a full battery. Last night when it was bad, it was around 20%.

So anybody have any luck with fixing this?

I tried the "in dialer type *#2663#", on Verizon, I can't get this to work. If it did work, is this a real / permanent fix?

Have you tried it without a case? That worked for some. I ended up modifying my case and I'm very pleased with the results and my sensitivity is perfect. Definitely a weird quirk about this phone.

Let me try it next time it happens. The thing is, sometimes, like today, it's working perfectly. The only thing that changed from 12am last night to now is the battery was charged. That seems odd?

Got my S6 in April and the sensitivity went nuts the first week or so. Was constant, not in and out. Took usually 3 or 4 finger touches to do anything, drove me crazy. Seems there are different fixes that work. A suggestion by a poster to try it case-less worked for me. Then not wanting to be without a case I cut a portion of the left side off. No idea why, but this fixed it perfectly. With my S6 it seemed there was something along the left side that interfered with the screen. It has been an awesome phone now. I almost returned it, glad I didn't .
Try the number again, make sure you have it correct. Also read thru the whole thread of you haven't already. There are more suggestions. Good luck with yours.

The dialer trick, I'm just typing that in, directly as is "*#2663#" and hitting call? It just tells me it's a unknown number. Am I doing that right?

Also, I think the battery has something to do with it. It was working in hand, but not flat this morning, now at 33% battery, it's starting to act up while holding it as well.
