screwed up big time

i have all the files but was trying to install the Com Rom v1.1 then ver 1.2 over my community Rom and from there everythings screwed up bad and i'v read so much stuff i just cant seem to sort everything out.. everything will run untill i try to reinstall the Com Rom Final. and it aborts .i tried the old red CWM,, no good,, i tried the new red fix all,, still aborts.. theres gotta be a faster way to get this thing running with all the files at hand.. Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp

Go into cwm, wipe data/factory reset, do it a couple times for good measure. Wipe cache partitions and dalvik cache a couple times too, then flash the com rom... make sure lagfix is enabled then boot up fully... reboot to cwr wipe cache partitions and dalvik cache again then flash the 1.2 patch (you don't need to flash the 1.1 patch as 1.2 has all those updates in it already.) That should help... unless you're saying you tried that already? If so I'm thinking you might want to flash back to a stock DI01 or DL09 package and start fresh by OTAing to 2.2 then try it all again. Make sure you have the full comm rom download it should be 155mb!

Don't bother with all the other stuff, Com Rom is edify script, which requires CWM 3.0. The CWM you're trying to use only supports amend scripts so Com Rom won't flash. Head on out and grab yourself CWM 3.0

Not trying to step on your toes, but, yes it is Edify, but even in the comm rom thread it states that it can be flashed via cwm all (2.x) There's some statements within the thread about it if you wanted to take a look.. Just want to clear any confusion... For instance I flashed it using the cwm all 3-30 fix just fine

Edit: Just looked in the comm rom thread and it states under the Changelog (1.0) that it is Edify Compatible meaning that you can flash via the method I used and of course you CAN use cwm 3.0... Either way I just wanted to point out that somewhere in that mass thread there's talk about cwm etc.

Nope, I'm at least a year from getting 4g where I live. Would be a pointless upgrade mostly. I like the phone well enough but it's not gonna do anything my fascinate doesn't. 32GB card has some appeal, as does the larger screen, dual mics for noise canceling, and beefier camera, but I'm waiting for the GS2 I think. We'll see how things go though. The touch screen on mine has been acting funny. I wanna say it's a kernel issue but it happens across kernels where there seem to be some dead spots that come and go. Could also be the fact that's I'm using a hybrid of two launchers customized to the max. I'm gonna post some screen shots in fact :-D Check the screen shots thread in a couple minutes.

I wish it was a kernel problem. I think I've got a bad touch sensor :-(
Still got that tune stuck in my damn head though LOL.
