Script to Delete Battery Stats

I just charged to one hundred then powered off..charged to full then powered on and ran it. Letting it run down now. I haven't heard much if this has to be run w battery at full charge but i figured it couldn't hurt.

charged to 100% and run the script yesterday at 1 PM. Batt was 100% dead by mid-night with light use. Chraged overnight to 100% and as soon as I unplugged it it went to 99% and then to 98% withing minutes. It's now at 80% after being unplugged for about2.5 hours with very little use just some wifi stuff on internet and zero calls or texts. My Batt was good with 2.1 got bad with 2.2 (DL30 and EB01) and seems actually worse now after this script.

Thinking about letting run down to dead again, recharge and rerun the script. If you guys have any suggestions let me know.

Thanks

I really don't know what to do. I've tried everything too with no noticeable improvements. I guess froyo is just tougher on the battery.

I don't think i use quite as much as u cory but i may get eight to ten hrs. And that's with very light use. Especially on your terms Im sure. Lol

Oh and i threw my battery in my brothers phone..he is on ea28..same percentage for each. So it appears to be correct..this build just sucking the juice. Lol

I know I'm jumping in late, but could someone tell me if this is done in clockwork just like installing a rom or a theme, and if not, could I get a quick basic walkthrough of what this entails? Thanks in advance.

Question. So is CW definitely not clearing batt stats? or is this for people getting some kind of error? I know when I clear batt stats in clockwork, it's pretty quick but not instant as if it cleared nothing... i guess it doesn't hurt to use this later. Just curious.

I'm wondering this too.

Ok Brett, first we need to make sure you have everything before you get the step by step. Do you have an app called terminal emulator? If not, go into the android market and download the app.

Android terminal emulator or just terminal emulator? Thanks for this by the way. Really hoping I can get something fixed with this. My battery's been awful.

Android terminal emulator. The other just force closes. Download it. Flash the zip file in Cwm. Reboot. Open android terminal. Type "su" hit return. It will ask you want to grant su permissions, grant. Type "bstats" hit return. Wait a few seconds and phone will reboot on its own

Awesome instructions! Made it seen easy enough. The adb part in this thread scared me. I've never done anything with it, and code stuff and programming changes freaks me out. I will definitely try this out in the morning. When my phone has had time to charge completely.

Sorry Brett,
Trying to resolve some issues on my phone at the same time. Yes Tnez21's instructions are dead on. You can use this same method for the other thing in Adrynalyne's maintenance pack script, fixing permissions. I did it and it clears up force close issues and my phone boots up a hell of a lot faster.

Done the EXACT same way, except I would type the name of that file instead of "bstats"? Thanks, man. Would I need to do the permission fix every time that I flash a new rom? And what exactly (for knowledge purpose) does thee permission fix actually do?

yes, exact same way except instead of bstats you type "fxpms" I really don't have the know how or experience to explain the permissions, but you can read about them in Adrynalyne's forum here:
[Fixed] Fix Permissions (With Rom Manager and Without) - xda-developers

And the maintenance pack script that has both the battery stats fix and fix permissions is here:
http://forum.androidcentral.com/ver...om-dl09-super-clean-0-4-eb01-2-4-updated.html

So just one file done the exact same way, again? How large is the file? I'm just wierded out, cause the bstats one was only like 3 kbs if I remember correctly. Thanks, man. Sorry for the basic questions.

The whole maintenance file is only 8kb. Go to Adrynalyne's thread, download the maintenance pack and save it to your sd card. Turn off usb, unplug phone from pc, boot to recovery, choose install zip from sd card, find the maintenance pack, scroll to it, hit the power button to install. After it installs, reboot phone and you will be able to follow the earlier steps in terminal emulator whenever you want for both bstats and permission fix

hey landshark i havent ran this maintenance package yet but I ran the battery scripts one alone in terminal emulator. The battery doesnt seem to be recalibrated i tried this a couple times already and i hate having to do deep charges/discharges from 100 to 0 and vice versa. Should i reinstall the ROM clear dalvik cache, and run this package then?

I personally would not keep running the bstats one. My phone makes it through the day and if I use it a lot while I'm at work I've got a car charger. The other precaution I took was I bought the combo spare battery + charger pack. I carry a fully charged battery with me just in case I am away from my chargers and my battery is running low. That fully charged battery will stay that way for a long time. That may seem like much but it's better than the alternative - walking around with a dead phone.
