SD card and my Honor 6x

Hi all,
Previously I had a galaxy 4s. When Id plug it into my windows machine It would show up and I could see the internal storage and the sd card. It was an easy way to move stuff from my my computer to my phone.

I now have this lovely Honor 6x and dont get this when i plug it in. I only get an phone icon - BLN-L24. I'm on a laptop running windows 10, if this factors in. I'm using HiSuite 5.0.1.300

Where is my error? If I open in HiSuite neither the internal storage or the sd card, shows nothing being there.

I believe you'll need to enter settings on the phone and allow HiSuite to connect.
Honor phones are weird this way.

Edit:
Look under Security in settings then "Allow HiSuite to use HDB"

I went in and checked this, it is already turned on. I have my SD card as my default location. HiSuite sees the card. Yet if I try to move stuff to it, I get 'device cannot copy item or has stopped responding'. Here is a screen shot of what I'm seeing 'slick' is the 6x, and I thought the HiSuite is CD drive R -which i believed to be my sim card....this must be nuts, because it's a 64g card.

I may be off the track here.
Do you get a notification on the phone to allow USB to connect as:
Charge only, MTP or Photo transfer only?

Ok I figured it out.
plug in the phone
HiSuite starts
On phone "OK" to allow debugging
Then on phone there is a choice between 'photos' and 'files', chose 'files'
HiSuite connects then you can chose SD card or Internal storage in HS and you're in
