SD Card Blank?

HELP!!!! I was using my phone yesterday when all of a sudden it locked up, the screen went black, and then I couldn't turn it back on. About 5 minutes later, it came on by itself and when preparing the SD Card, I was told it was blank!

Has anyone else had this happen? If so, were you able to correct it or did you just have to get a new SD card and forego trying to rescue the stuff that was on the card?

What the...somehow it reformatted the card.

Have you tried installing Astro File Manager and viewing the card that way?

It may not be blank.
You may have a bad sector.
See if putting the card in a memory card reader on a computer helps.

It's certainly worth a shot to see if a recovery app on your PC is able to get anything off the card. I'd recommend treating it as suspect and replacing it. Haven't had this happen on the Droid but it has happened to me with other devices.

Sandisk has an app (it isn't free) unless you buy their higher end cards but it does recovery very well.
