SD card unexpectedly removed?

Got a strange one for you guys. Ever since I did the 2.2 froyo update I keep getting a message saying SD card unexpectedly removed. It's very strange and seems to happen randomly. I can use the camera some times and it works fine, but others it drops as soon as the camera app stats. This also holds true to listening to music or when tying tones or notifications play off of the card. When the card unmounts the only way to get it to remount is to reboot the phone. Troubleshooting I've done so far - format the card {took 5 tries to get it to work}. Factory reset (was hoping this would take me back to 2.1 but no luck ). took the card out of my wifes phone and it unmounted her's just the same. So, I'm boggled. How could a software update affect hardware? Is it possible that going back to 2.1 stock would fix this then going back up to froyo again. In other words could this be caused by a bad update install? If so can someone point me to an official vzw 2.1 and guide to roll back to? Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.


Ps. Of course the wifes phone went to froyo with no problems. Lol

Maybe your card decided to out around the same time as the update. I had same issue prior to update. Go into VZ store they'll give you a new one free. Or do as I did, credit the 16gb for the 32; Its about a $30 difference.

See I was thinking the same thing but my wifes card displayed the same behavior when placed in my phone but works fine in hers. Also place my card in her phone and it's fine. Do that either makes it phone hardware or software. Anyone know where to find a cot of 2.1 and a guide to roll back? There has to be one.....every one who ran the leak had to move back for the official release of froyo.

I think VZ store is equipped to roll you back. Other than that, unless youre on a leaked 2.2, its a no go.
