How do u get s3 gt19300 to register that it has sd card in its place designed to put it for use

Welcome to Android Central! If you insert the card into your computer, is it recognized there? If not, then the card is either dead or counterfeit.

If it's recognized in the computer, then it might not be formatted correctly for the phone. Make sure the card is formatted in FAT32.
