Sd-ext confusion

I did a Nandroid backup this evening in prep for possibly installing a new ROM. I used CWM recovery v 4.0.1.5. I noticed while backing up it hung for a while backing up sd-ext. After I rebooted and took a look at the backup files w/ Androzip the sd-ext file is 0 bytes in size. When I look on the internal memory the sd-ext folder is empty. When I look at memory info in Link2sd it shows 263mb of the 1gb sd-ext2 partition has been used. When I use mini-partition wizard on the PC. It says the partition is formatted as Ext3.

So does anyone have a clue what's going on here? I'm concerned that my sd-ext is not getting backed up. I have many apps linked to the sd which show up in Link2sd. These apps are all working. It seems like something must not be formatted right and I'd like to get it corrected before I install another ROM. I'm currently running Harmonia 2.08 which I love. I'm just interested in playing with something else for a bit.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Reformatted and working again. I got enthusiastic and did a fresh install of the whole ROM. Everything is working well again. I really like Harmonia.
