Way too many bookmarks, and I need to search them.

You can use the Google Search/Google Now app. Open Google Settings in your App Drawer, tap Search & Now>Tablet Search, and make sure Chrome is checked on. Now when you enter a search term in your Google Search bar or Google Now, you will see any matching bookmarks in the results below.

Got it to work. But I don't like how it has to revert back every time I open a link. I have to click on Show More incessantly, and keep losing my place as a result.
I would've thought the bookmark results would have the dark bookmark star next to them, but it doesn't.
Is there an app that manages bookmarks?
