Second Hand Note 7 Recall Thread

The check is for 920 dollars and I got the info by calling the note 7 executive safety line it's a diffrent extention
 
If you could post the phone # I would greatly appreciate it. I would like a cheque for $920!!! Get rid of this crap.

I called 1-844-365-6197 and spent about 20 mins on the phone with them. If you dont have the receipt i believe he said the check would be for $860ish.

They will also refund any accessories you purchased, be sure to send those receipts in, as well.

My UPS box to return the device will be here by Friday and with 10-14 days I will have my refund check.

I think im gonna go out and get a Google Pixel XL

They told me Sterocycle would be arranging a pickup for my phone. Wonder why I am not getting a shipping box.
 
Let's hope everyone gets a refund after sending those note 7s with no receipt because it's not like they'll send it back if they pull BS. I am afraid now...i mean if it hasn't exploded then it wont. What's that stuff about made in China is safe? They have the good batteries? Fml...
 
Called the 844 number. Rep stated Sales Dept who handle refund requests are open 9am - 6pm EST. I could have done an exchange for an S7 or S7 Edge with the rep on the phone. I obviously passed. Both those phone may be an even trade for a Note 7, but not just one.
 
Wouldn't be surprised if some Verizon customers too are trying to get the 920.00 checks since their accounts were cleared and upgrades restarted without even returning the note 7 yet....the scammers will come out the closet with this info.....
 
Samsung reps are literally passing the buck transferring me from one person to the next. One rep thought he was helpful by providing me with the Samsung Note 7 recall webpage and told me to await further instructions on that site. Yeah right!!

60 minutes into my phone call, have spoken with four different people, one who claimed to be a supervisor, who redirected me to another rep who had no idea of my situation.

Altogether, been on the phone for one hour. Got a ticket number starting with 1220... The rep said that the wireless provider will contact me within 48 hours "regarding my replacement phone". I got the feeling this person was reading from a script because he continued to use the same phrases repeatedly without directly answering questions. The most frustrating and hilarious phrase were the reps telling me to power down and return the phone.

In any case, let's see where this goes. The reps when dealing with getting a replacement phone sounded competent. Whereas, this time I was being rerouted to all the village idiots.
 
Canceled my exchange and am getting a check as well. I got a ticket number and will be getting a call back. Let you know how it goes.
 
I got a ticket number last night. I called in today to check on it, and they claim to have no record. Now, I have a new ticket number, was transferred and have been on hold for 30 minutes so far. This process has ensured that I am done with Samsung for years.
 
OK, here's an update, everyone. After about 50 minutes on hold, I got through to an American sounding representative. He took my info (Name, address, IMEI). I was told I will have a fireproof box shipped to my house within 2 to 3 business days. I have to send back the phone and the included accessories, but not the original box. Once Samsung has the device, they will issue a check within 10 to 14 business days for $920 dollars. This is mega annoying. I'll feel better once I have the check in hand. Here's the number for anyone that wants to call direct: 1.855.726.8721. This will probably save you a step from the 844 number.
 
I called Samsung, was transferred several times, finally got a ticket number, I was told to wait at least 5-7 days for Samsung to process my request. I'm hoping to get a refund...
From what I've read from several different forums, Samsung will in fact send you a check of either $860 or $920, but in order to get that check you will first have to go through a processing time (usually 5 days to a week), Samsung THEN will contact you via email or phone, and you will provide them with your shipping info and what not. After a few days, you will receive a box from them, and once they have received your package (probably another week, since the note 7 could only be transported using ground transportation), they will send out the check.
To be honest I bought my phone for 750 bucks on craiglist, a few days after it was available, and it would be somewhat weird if I receive a check in full which is $920... I guess it's just fair because we have to go through all this trouble just to return the phone... I tried contacting the guy who sold me the phone and all he did was just laughing on my misery.

If I were you, I wouldn't wait the 5 to 7 days. You should ask to be transferred immediately to the Note 7 return specialists.

I forgot to add one last thing, once you get a ticket return number, you can go to SAMSUNG's Digital World and input your transaction number to check the status of your return.
 
Missed a call from Samsung earlier this morning. (800-726-7864) Thought they were giving me an update on my case. Called them back, and it seemed to be a courtesy call to remind me to return the phone. After giving the rep all my info again, I was transferred to the recall dept. (30 min wait) Finally, a gentleman there took down my info and said a box would be sent to me by the weekend for me to return the phone. Once they have the phone, they will issue a refund or $850 since I don't have the receipt. Please do not wait for them to call you. Please call them when you have a chance and be prepared that the call might last 1+hr and get them to send you the box for the return.
