Secure Folder vs. My KNOX?

Whats the difference between my KNOX folder and secure folder on the note 7. Trying to decide the differences between the note 5 and note and which one i might purchase next month. I'm leaning toward a nice used note 5. I don't want the edge screen do to the work i do (body shop) with a case that doesn't cover the entire glass perimeter. However dust and water resistance is a big plus in a dusty shop.

1. Dust and water vapor and electronics don't mix. (I used to spend 4-6 hours a day removing dust from speakers in walkie talkies.) Keep the phone in a zipped zip-lock bag when you're in a bad environment - they're cheap to replace.

2. The 5 has no external storage, Aside from running out of space, you can't boot from the card and a few other little problems. I'm still on my Note 3. (The 4 isn't worth the difference in price.) I'm kind of leaning toward the 7, not not that heavily - I'll wait to see which way they go with the 8 (or whatever they name the next note).

I have a S6 now in a 64 GB. Came from an IPhone so expandable storage is something i've not really used. I use a lot of cloud storage and OTG cable with my flash drive. a note 5 in 64GB would probaly do. But to add later would be very useful. I love my S6 but would like the note and spen. so a note 5 is the same generation as i have now. But that note7!!!
