Mehh while that's nice, I was hoping for a Nougat upgrade to 7.1. Maybe, hopefully, this is a just a necessary step before they roll it out

holy cow I was stuck on the Verizon restart screen for 10 minutes! thought I was in trouble but it finally started up

Well, I stand by my update mantra that every update is better than the next. They lumped in a Chrome update that I can't roll back from, forcing their spam junk on us instead of the former and very useful bookmarks and recent tabs buttons at the bottom of the new tab page.

I guess they got tired of everyone (literally, I don't know a single person that actually likes this change and they got slammed hard with comments against it) being able to find a workaround. Yeah, I'm a little peeved by this.

Same here, was getting ready to hit up Verizon on why. Left if go and finally it resumed.

No, that's Chrome mobile and they started it a few updates ago. At first you could edit a couple flags to get the old way back, but eventually that too was removed. When asked about it in the Chrome support group, Google basically responded with too bad, you can't have the more functional setup back.

I don't even use the Google app, except when voice dialing from my headset. I wouldn't even use it for that if LG had its own service for it like some of my other phones. The Google app just has way too many errors, and not even with the transcription of my voice.

I've been looking a little here and there for a replacement because I figured this was coming. Just don't know which fits me best.
