Seems like more folks are "meh" for Pixel 4 than excited?

I agree 100%! He has also alienated the American Home Builders from using Nest products. Shareholders must be pi$$ed.

The Pixel 3a's were developed by the "Taiwan Team" (HTC) and appear to be doing well.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Are you saying the Taiwan team didn't design the 4s?

That's what it sounds like to me.

"Well, for sure, Pixel 3A is a great example, but they completely did all of that phone. So, it was done entirely out of our Taiwan team and they did a great job with it." Rick Osterloh

When I read that section of the interview I can't tell if the same applies to the 4 or not. Seems like a deliberately vague response. I guess it could be a combination of teams worked on the 4. I had much higher hopes for the 4 thinking the HTC would be driving the design. The real verdict will be when more people spend time with it.

I was shocked at the number of people that got free devices that are giving their honest, harsh opinion about it. I'm primarily an iPhone user so the Pixel 4 XL will be going in my secondary sim slot when it arrives, so my expectations aren't as high as others using as their main device. I think Google did make some Terrible mistakes by not including an ultra wide camera, that whole Soli radar instead of a fingerprint scanner, the smaller sized battery. The camera is good, but it's not gonna make up for all of it's short comings.

So Marques is out with more on Pixel 4 XL. After watching this video it seems to me like he is meh on the device too. Sadly he is stating what I have heard before...that the iPhone might be a better buy.
