Seidio 3500mAh Battery for the Incredible

As I post this my 3500 battery has been off the charger for 16 hours with what I would say moderate use and I have 40% battery left. I have to say that I had a little higher hopes for the battery, but it is still its first day and the instructions said that it would take 4 or 5 charging cycles to max everything out. This is all without bump charging. I did forget to turn wifi off this morning, so that could be part of the drain as I have very intermittent wifi conductivity in my office.

I would bump once or twice for the first few full cycles. I have also found that when I can't turn my phone off you can "bump" after an overnight charge by just unplugging it for about 30 seconds then plugging it back in while the phone is still on. Not sure if it's as effective as an "off bump" but I can't turn my phone off for long periods of time so this seems to work too.

Have Fun!

Can't expect too much on day one. Now if this was day 5 with bump charging, u might have a legitimate concern. Report back in a couple days, k?

Will do, I went to bed shortly after that post witl 38% batter left. As long as I get through 1 day till 22 or 2300 thats enough battery for me. But I would be nice to go longer. We will see what the next 4 or 5 days of charging cycles does.

Using your current stats, you're getting 2.66 hours per 10%... At that rate, by the time you get down to 10%, you will have had the battery off the charger for 24 hours straight... That's not enough for you?

It does get better with charge cycles, plus my initial conditioning charges were done with power off while charging and then 2 bumps. My way of bump charging is to just unplug the powered off phone until the LED goes out, then plug it back in... No need for this power on/power off nonsense... After the 2nd bump is done, turn the phone on and you're good to go. After 6 cycles of doing that, I don't bump or power off the phone anymore for charging...

Today, I have been streaming XM for 4+ hours over 3G, Bluetooth and GPS on, lots of internet and phone calls, texts, 30 minutes of navigation while streaming the XM, and after 7 hours, I'm at 52%... Today has been a VERY heavy usage day and there's no doubt it's going to last me well past my bedtime...

I can't wait for my 3500 to come in and be able to use this bad boy to it's fullest....

WTF I posted just a few days ago about how the Seidio 3500 extended on Amazon was $49 (only $8 more than the 1750) and it was in stock.. now it's $56 and only available for pre order..... ????????????? right as I go to buy it :(

Please, don't get me wrong, I am getting a full day with a little left over out of the 3500 battery. I thought I might get a 1.5 too 2 days out of it based on your initial posts, so from that stand point I am disappointed. I thought I was a moderate user, but from my experiences with the battery and the amount of time I get out of it, I guess I am a fairly heavy user. As long as I can make it through a day without having to hit the charger is really good enough. Like I said earlier, I had higher expectations based on your initial findings, but personal use and they types of apps used is the determining factor on that. Would I buy this battery again? In a heart beat I would. I would have to charge a stock battery 2 times a day now, I'm good from 5 am till 22 or 2300.

Day 1: 18 hours uptime and 10% left, bump charged (8am - 1am)

10% left is still a decent uptime left on this batter, probably around 2 hours.

not bad for the first charge overnight. I used GPS around an hour, audible for about 2 1/2 hours, music for an hour, internet, maps, email, SMS, MMS, played a networked game for about an 1 1/2 hours, took a couple pictures, plus a few random apps. was on wifi most of the day until 5:30pm. was on 3G the rest of the night. wasn't really a heavy use day, I would say closer to moderate, but not light. installed/updated a couple apps as well.

I like what I'm hearing here. I have the 1750 which has cut my "extra" charging to only once per day. I am, however, holding off on buying one until:
a) I see how the update works with the 1750
b) There's a case for this thing.

I'm pretty clumsy. without a case, I'm doomed.

I am a hopelessly addicted heavy user, and always leave GPS on, don't know why, just do. Its who I am......
Anyhoo, with the 3500, after about a week, I am holding the entire day. After about a 16 hour day, I am running down to the 30% orange, but I am well satisfied with that. Great battery and the weight and form of the case isn't too bad either. I agree with the nice heft and form in your hands with it.

I received my 3500 yesterday and charged it from around 6pm yesterday till 7:30am this morning. Twice I unplugged it once it turned green and did a bump charge. The first bump charge happened about 5 1/2 hours after I started the charging process.

I am using the Android Battery widget to monitor the battery life. It was at 100% this morning when I unplugged the power.

I am now six hours into moderate use (e-mail, web, etc... - GPS, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth are off), yet my battery is already down to 54% capacity. :-(

While this is tons better than the stock battery, it doesn't seem to be anywhere close to what some people are reporting.

Am I doing something wrong??

From what I understand it will take 5-6 charging cycles for the battery to reach it's fullest potential. I'd give it a week or so and see if you notice an increase. I am also on my first charge with the 3500.. normally at this point in the day I would be around 60-65% with the 1750.. I am currently at 72%. I charged it from 11pm last night until 7:50am this morning with the device on and did not bump charge fyi...

Well after my first full day with the 3500 I will say I am impressed with the life of the battery. It lasted all day and then some so I could definitely use this and not have to worry about charging. However, the added bulk is just too much for me I think. I'm going to use it for a week or so b/c I am going out of town for the weekend but I believe I'm going to return it and possibly order the HTC 1500 from Amazon for $20 and the Seidio external battery charger for $23. That way I should have 2 full batteries for each day and I can keep my Inc protected with a case and keep the phone slim and more compact and still shouldn't have to worry about charging.

I've had the 3500 for a few days now. Coming from a 1750, I've seen huge improvements. Even with the 1750 I had to charge all the time (in car, at work, etc.) after charging to full each night while I slept. With the 3500, I can charge it only once a day at night, and have the confidence to know that I'll have enough power to make it at least until late evening (with medium usage). I no longer have to worry about turning off GPS, Wifi, turning down screen brightness. If it gets even better after a week's use, then all the better.

The added weight/thickness is a tradeoff that I'm willing to accept. I'd rather have that than have to carry extra batteries and swap batteries/reboot phone throughout the day or to constantly charge up throughout the day. This will be especially nice for me when I travel and am in business meetings as I won't always have to search for power outlets. And, for me, the added weight/thickness isn't a problem in being able to pocket carry the device.

Seidio now has a case that fits the 3500 (innocase extended) on pre-order, so I'm waiting on that. That should take care of the final con which is that stock cases don't fit the battery.

I now wish I hadn't spent the money on the 1750 and bought the 3500 from the get go.
