Seidio 3500mAh Battery for the Incredible

Yeah, Seidio is releasing a case for the extended battery and I am definitely getting it ASAP... Even though I'm careful, I hate not having a cover...

I just got my uncased seidio holster in and man its perfect with the 3500. The only way I'm getting a case is if they make the rugged for this battery. The case that coming out qont work with a holster from what I read.

WOW I just received my Seidio 1750 yesterday that I ordered from Amazon and realized that the 3500 is just $8 more :( I'm sure I could return the 1750, right? Has Seidio released a case for the 3500 extended battery yet??

Edit: looks like it's still "under development" ... http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/csr5hddnx-bk.htm

Return it for 5 bones but use it until you get your 3500 amazon gives you 30 days. Ps sorry for the double post.

So I have 30 days to return the 1750 but when I do there will be a $5 fee involved on my end? Plus shipping it to them?

Can you link to the case you are talking about please??

I know it must get hot because of the battery but I was tossing around the idea of spray painting the 3500 cover to a different color....

Terrible idea?

Yes terrible idea, that will look ghetto tacky as hell. Not to mention it's not going to stay on the soft touch very long before the cracking starts.

That is the most rediculous looking thing I've ever seen. :( Why why why the stupid Pyramid pop-up design on the back. I'd rather it look like a brick than that.

If that's what it takes to be able to use the phone as intended...

Thanks for all the great info in this thread... I'm on the fence and torn between keeping the 1750 or ordering the 3500. I have only had the 1750 for about 4 days but it doesn't look like it's going to cut it... but I really really like the slim form factor of the phone as is :( I want to be able to charge it every night and not have to worry about running out of juice no matter what my usage is for the day.

Decisions decisions!?!?

FWIW... I forgot to charge my 3500 two nights ago and started day 2 with 49% left... Decent usage, it got me up until 10PM again before reaching the 14% low battery alert... When I went to bed at about 11:30, I charged it with 12% left... 41 + hours since unplugged... Factor that in... :)

:) it's ALL of your factors in this thread that are making me think real hard about the 3500!!

Do you charge your phone every night with the power off and bump charge 2 or 3 times (also with the power off)?

Whit this 3500 threes no need to bump charge I'd you out it on the charger every night. I use WiFi and Bluetooth all day and still don't kill this beast.

Charging is now done 95% of the time with the phone on. No bump charging or topping off anymore... Only time additional charging is done is when I plug the USB in to add music or take a screen shot... With the phone on and doing the charge overnight, I'd say it gets fully charged by 2AM or so and sits on the charger until I get up at 7AM... I notice the @5% drop on my battery gauge due to HTC's charging issues, then I go on with my day.

I'd say it's also a 50/50 split between charging nightly and every other night... When I do decide to charge nightly, the phone is always at between 45 and 60%... Anything above 60% I skip the charge cycle, unless I know I'm going to be HEAVILY using the phone the next day...

Just got my 3500 battery yesterday and charged her up over night. Took it off and looked at facebook, a few emails and some other things this morning via wifi, streamed pandora on my way to work (30 min with wifi on by accident) and sat on my desk for an hour with wifi on (forgot to turn off when I left my house) and I'm down to 78 percent on the battery. Now considering that it said 100 percent when I took it off the charger and then droped too 92% it seems to be doing well going from 92 to 78. Only a 14% drop in 5 or so hours (half with wifi on).

After the initial conditioning cycles, I now charge nightly just because it?s a habit, and I?m never really sure what my usage will be the next day until the defecation hits the oscillator. I also have only used my car charger once since getting the battery and that was at the end of a 48 hr run w/ heavy GPS the second day.

The only downside I?ve experienced are that it limits your case choices, but replacement backs are only $12 or something like that, and the Seideio Spring Clip works great with the bigger back. If you use a car dock, you will have to get a generi dock rather than a DInc specific dock. I got a good Generi dock and I actually like it better then the VZW DInc Dock/Holster combo.

Bottom line, it?s worth every penny. IMHO

Finally got mine today from Amazon. Took it out this evening for a test spin. Road around for 30 minutes with GPS navigation on the whole time while streaming last.fm. Also had a game going at one point. My battery went from 51% to 50% after the 30 minute outing. Worth every penny!

As I post this my 3500 battery has been off the charger for 16 hours with what I would say moderate use and I have 40% battery left. I have to say that I had a little higher hopes for the battery, but it is still its first day and the instructions said that it would take 4 or 5 charging cycles to max everything out. This is all without bump charging. I did forget to turn wifi off this morning, so that could be part of the drain as I have very intermittent wifi conductivity in my office.
