Selective Hearing - OK Google

My Note is almost 2 weeks old, running SE 8.5 and a handful of well known productivity, note taking, email and business apps downloaded from the Play Store.

I'm using Gboard as my default keyboard and have "OK Google" set as my trusted voice (trained multiple times). Over the last week, the command "OK Google" worked most of the time, to some of the time, to now... not at all.

Voice to text dictation though, in multiple apps, works flawlessly.

Press/Hold the home button to bring up Google Assistant, works fine.

Rebooted a few times.. turned off/on Trusted Voice as well as with the settings within Google Assistant. No difference..

Suggestions?

Mine did that one day and I tried all you mentioned...next day it worked perfectly and has done so since.

I had a similar situation with Bixby not hearing me. What seems to have fixed it for me was to uninstall Alexa and reboot my phone. I would suggest to also uninstall Cortana if you have that installed as well.
