Texts to one person I am in touch with everyday all day suddenly always show as draft, but they are sent and received. Our conversation goes back and forth and no matter what the notification list will show draft and when I click over everything has been sent and draft is not there for me to resend anything. And of course I'm getting a response so the messages are going through! I have turned off and on and clear cache and I don't know what else and it won't go away.

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Try clearing the app cache for the messaging app, then force stop it.

Okay, it's a Samsung a20 and it's only happening with one contact. I have gone into the message app and cleared cache. It's been going on for a few days . . . Since the 2nd, when a new router was installed and there was no connection for a few hours. It made sense to see draft at first but once everything was back on it never left! As you can see draft shows on notifications but not on the messages itself when I click over.

If clearing the app cache didn't help, you may also want to try clearing the app data for the messaging app. I think this won't affect any of your saved threads, because messages are typically saved to a different system app (something like Messaging Storage), but I can't be 100% sure for your phone.

Make sure in the type section that cursor is far left with "x" before exiting out or it will show as draft
Yeah I was going to try to save text messages but guess I have to do a copy and paste somehow and then let them all go. I'm afraid to clear messages and lose it all so feel like I'll be putting up with that damn word forever now and not know when messages are really received or not. Thanks anyway for your help,

As long as Google back up is on and Samsung account signed in and sync you will be fine clearing cache, data
