Seperate icons for GMAIL accounts?

I got the S6E after 5 years on iPhone, so far so good.

My work is on corporate GMAIL and I have a personal account. Any way to create a separate icon for each? Or is there another solution? Sorry for the newbie question, the S6 is so far a great phone.

I don't believe so. From my understanding, gmail now has you set up multiple accounts in the single app.

Using nova launcher, I made an activity widget that brings up the mailbox selection screen. Click the icon get a screen with your available mailboxes.Not quite what you're looking for but perhaps closer to better?

If you want to keep your accounts separated you can use two different apps. Let's say, the Gmail app for work and the stock one for your personal account.

If you want to keep them in the same email app some launchers can create shortcuts for an specific account and label. I use Nova and the way to do that is very easy. Press & hold on a blank spot in your homescreen and tap on shortcuts, then tap on Gmail label and select account and label.

Also, my buddy sent an invite for Google Inbox, I think I'm going to run my personal gmail on the Inbox app and work gmail on the gmail app. I did find a somewhat faster way to switch accounts in the gmail app.. when you're in the menu screen that shows inbox, starred, sent etc.. you will see the little person icon (mine is blue for personal) and theres another person icon for my work (red) you can just tap that and it switches. Not as convenient as some other options, but at least they're both in the same gmail layout.

Going to try your suggestions.. so far I'm really liking the S6 after 5 years on iphone.
