I think I might be in serious trouble. I tried rooting my wife's new Fascinate and have run into trouble. I added .old to the end of the TWlauncher before I loaded another launcher. I've tried doing a factory reset/wipe, but all I get is a black screen with the task bar across the top. Any Ideas? She's gonna kill me!! LOL!:-[:-!

Well, correct me if I'm wrong, but if all else fails... flash DI01 or DL09 in Odin and you'll return to stock, fixing that problem. Then all you gotta do is OTA back to the latest update and root again. Just take the correct steps from there out.

You can download DI01 from the link I posted in my previous post, just click on the DI01 that is "blue" and click save... once it is done downloading connect your phone with the battery out while holding the down volume key to get into download mode... Place that package in the PDA PDA PDA!!!! section and click start. This will return her phone to VERY basic stock, then just OTA the way I explained to return to EA28, once rebooted, most likely after a short time you will be prompted to download the Froyo OTA, if not follow the same steps within settings menu to get to it. Then you can root again the way you previously did, just don't make that same mistake
Ahhh there, DroidXcon posted the thread that referances the update.zip method after going the DL09 route. Either if you go the DI01 route or that way it will fix the problem.

he can flash dl09 and it should just over the air to ea28 and ED03 pretty quick,,,then he can just use debloated package shark made up and not bother with debloating manually or he can flash evil fascinate or comm rom if he really wants to impress his wife

Thankfully I'm not married anymore. But that's neither here nor there lol.my GF is not only running a custom rom but she is also voodoo'd and she helps her friends with android problems aswell i rubbed off on her

congrats in advance and yeah, she is a keeper. My wife was very much the same when I was starting out in the computer industry. She used to be ok with me running to clients at all hours, any holiday.
10 years later she is still mostly ok with my hijinx... definitely a keeper
