Setup Hotmail/Outlook with IMAP on Sony Xperia Z3

Hi guys,

I need some help to setup my Hotmail/Outlook account with IMAP in the standard mail app on my Xperia Z3.

I have tried with these settings, but it can't find the servers:

Incoming IMAP
Username: your Outlook/Hotmail email address
Password: your email account password
Server: imap-mail.outlook.com
Server port: 993
Encryption: SSL

Outgoing SMTP
Username: your Outlook/Hotmail email address
Password: your email account password
Server: smtp-mail.outlook.com
Server port: 587
Encryption: TLS

Which settings do you suggest I should use?

For the Outgoing server, try SSL port 465. Configure Outlook with an Outlook.com (Hotmail), Gmail, Yahoo, AOL or iCloud account - HowTo-Outlook

Question - Is there a reason you are using IMAP instead of EAS as I would assume EAS would be better, no (faster, plus contact and calendar sync)?

I'm assuming the Z3 supports EAS that is, or that it comes with the same native email app that comes on the Nexus devices?

SSL port 465 is not working. Any other ideas?

I also had the Xperia Z2, which I did get to work with IMAP, but unfortunately I can't remember the right settings I used. At that time it seemed to work very well with fast sync and so on. On my Xperia Z3, I've had the EAS, but I can't say it is fast with the syncing. That's why I want to use IMAP again.
