Hey beezy, how would one edit the look of the app icons?

just wondering (sorry i am a noob and i am trying to get the hang of all this rom flash thing)
just a question are the themes to be flash as well ? and how to install them
and can themes have different icons or is that another customization part/file?

in the apk for the app icon you wan to edit look for a png called ic_launcher(something). Thats the one you edit. I plan to write to guide tonight and should have it up by morning it will cover icons too.

@ bluediablito if your running fresh rom don't flash these themes,they are made for roms that have odex files.Fresh rom is deodex.

i found the .png file, but i can replace it. How are you exploring the apk or odex? I was just using astro.

'I edit it by pulling it to the pc.Use 7zip it will open it.

can you just throw it back on in the same method? or do you have to unistall the package and reinstall it after

just another idea, why not create a short blog on themes for the evo or create a new section for themes for the evo sorta like prethemer? (sorry just came from a palm pre and pre themes was one of my liking of the pre)

Search the market for nexus mod then just change the settings to look like that.
