My phone has now eaten two 32Gb PNY micro sd cards. Both times it happened the moment I switched the camera's save file location to the external sd card. I had downloaded many files, mostly .pdf, to the cards beforehand and after the change in save location the sd card becomes completely unreadable in any of my smartphones.

And after this happens my battery stops functioning correctly. I will use RAM manager to make sure nothing is running, charge the phone to 100, take it off, recheck RAM, put it in my pocket and 3 hours later it is down to 40% power.

This is something to do with the phones, not just mine. I say that because I have had two of them do this to me now.

Unfortunately another chapter in the never ending SDCARD problems with the S3/S4

My S3 has fried three 32gb cards. They would work from 3 days to 3 weeks before they were unusable. Two were Sandisk and one was Lexar.

After several phone calls to AT&T I finally got a tech that said the S3 was having a problem with 32 gb cards and credited my account for the retail price of a new card. I bought a Sandisk Ultra 16gb card and have had not problems in two months.

I have lost two 32GB cards in my S3. I switched to a 64GB card for fun and I have not had a problem since. Relavent? Probably not, I have also been running CM 10.x since I bought the phone.
