Shattershield display, more harm than good?

Do you have a source? Most i have seen say the outer layer on the Z2 force is not user replaceable, but it is replaceable by Motorola or carrier.

I just know the Turbo 2 one came off and could easily be replaced, I worked for Verizon at the time. I can't comment on the Z Force.

What does a plastic screen feel like compared to glass. I have zero experience.

Because there's an oleophobic coating it should feel smooth. Needs a glass protector anyway so it almost doesn't matter.

The Z Force and Z2 Force still have a user replaceable outer lens...like the Turbo 2. It's still a 5 layer design screen, and the outer layer (lens) is still replaceble.

No, they do not offer a shattershield lens. I have Z2 Force and my shattershield lens started peeling after 3-4 months of use and when I asked for a shattershield lens replacement at Lenovo Motorola Service center, they asked to replace the full-screen, which cost me around 250 US Dollars.
