SHealth GPX Export File

Finally in the S6 SHealth app there is an option to download your exercise data in GPX format. I have been doing this for years with my Garmin Oregon. However, my main use of the gpx file is to get minute by minute heart rate data through my bike ride. The SHeallth app doesn't seem to be including that data in the GPX file. The data is there as there is a plot of the heart rate information for the ride on the same screen.

Does anyone know of a way to get the exporter include the heart rate data or if this is something that we would have to somehow get to the attention of Samsung developers to include?

All Garmin GPS devices have exported heart rate, cadence, etc additional data in the GPX files for years. The coding to include this has got to be extremely simple as I would guess all the data is stored in SHealth in the same place. Any ideas?

Yep there sure is

Go to developer.samsung.com/health and download the Samsung Digital Health SDK

Extract the files and read the ProgrammingGuide_SHealthService.pdf to find out how to put S Health into "Developer Mode"

From the Healthdata / tools install the DataViewer-1.2.0.apk to get the dataviewing app which can export to CSV.

Once its all set up I had to reboot phone ( G Note 4 ) and all exports fine :-)

Thanks a TON for this tip...
One question though....where is the CSV file exported too? And is there a way to convert it to a gpx file?

Is it possible to export heart rate chart data during exercise? I managed to export exercise data, but its only max heart rate, average heart rate, etc.

the HR/speed data of your exercices is contained in the blob files which are actually gzip file that you can open with 7zip.
the blob files are in the blob directory where the csv files are also located.
there is also a location blob file.

once unzip those blob contained json formatted info.

Hi all!
Does anyone know what kind of format exported location files have (blobs)?
It seems to be some binary format. I tried changing extension to each of the supported by Google Earth and then importing - none worked.
Could it be some Samsung proprietary format? Attaching one of the files to analyze.

P.S. That's a shame Samsung decided to add "GPX Export" feature only to some activities like Cycling. I would like to export my Hiking routes as well.

Hello,

Thank you very much for all your help.

Forgive my English and misspellings, I'm studying English and Spanish speaking is a pending issue :p.

Following in the footsteps got on my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910F to export the files of my sports but two days ago the S Healt to version 5.2.1.0001 was updated and has since disappeared export option, I found that was still installed Dataviewer and was still connected but not working, I returned to reinstall restart but continues to fail, I have seen that within Dataviewer if stored and let me see your options but is absent the option to export in GPX, does anyone know who might be failing?

Then part once again had run data that did not include in the exported file and was the heart rate, it is the second query will be resolved once the first ;)

Thank you pro your interest, Greetings

Angel
