So just in case any of you current owners or future owners are having a HUGE concern about battery life with the Shift 4G, then worry no more. HTC confirmed that the battery of the OG EVO is the same size as the Shift batt. So in other words you could go on eBay and snag one of these puppies and run your device even longer than the OEM batt.;) If you have little patience look for a seller in the states rather than H.K.

Seidio Innocell Slim Extended Life Battery for HTC EVO

(and if any of you already knew this then don't be a jerk and put some smart reply, I'm just trying to help out around here)

I did not find that lying around anywhere. Thanks for that link. I am still rockin my OEM batt, but if I ever see a decrease in its performance, i will invest in a larger capacity batt. and compare how it stands to my current one.

Same battery as the TP2.

TP2 Seidio, light use 2 mos 1750mAh rated: 1383mAh
EVO 4G stock OEM 1500mAh rated: 1443mAh

Good to have a spare or 3, but that extra 250mAh they claim probably won't "buy" you any real additional time.

this is some good news, i was curious about this as the labels are printed on the other side for the shift battery. i don't use my stock evo battery much and i have a stand alone charger :) win win

has anyone tried juice defender?

I've had Juice Defender Ultimate ever since I've had my Shift. It allows you to increase battery life by controlling what runs when your battery reaches a certain stage (set by the user) of discharge. There are three versions available, and the basic one is free. The Plus ($2.69) and Ultimate ($6.74) versions are paid, but I've found the Ultimate worth the price. You can backup/restore your settings, and more. Very nice app. Give it a try with the free version and see if it helps.
