Shopping for a Tablet. Tab s6?

I have both the s4 and the s6 . The keyboard cover with stand for the s6 is totally worth it to me . My s4 still works great but the s6 is just a little better in every way plus the cover and the built in kick stand just put it over the top.

And honestly I find myself using it instead of my spectre 360 . The more I use dex mode the more I wonder why I bought the 360.

I've been thinking about getting an inexpensive portable touchscreen monitor, hooking my Note 10+ up to that and just use dex that way instead of getting the S6. I've already got a small bluetooth keyboard. I don't really care too much about the Android part of the tablet. Just dex.

Just bear in mind that unless the touchscreen display comes with a DeX-specific app or a generic mouse USB connection profile, the touchscreen will NOT work with DeX (or the Android portion of the phone for that matter)

Yep. It is what keep tilting things towards the S6 for me. That keyboard cover looks amazing. Just a bit too darn expensive. I'll post back here when I get one ( S6 + book cover).

As long as is supports USB-C DP alt mode it won't be an issue.

totally disagree. I have the s5e and absolutely no performance issues for my use. battery is great and the keyboard accessory is great. it may not be as powerful as the s6 but I cannot live without it now. I am very impress with it.

My question is... is the 8GB of ram a noticable difference over the 6GB ram? Would one actually be able to tell? I tend to open 10, 12 tabs at a time in my browser when on the internet.

I got no lag when using the Tab S6 over the Tab S5e and over long term I know I will be happier.

The Tab S5e would be fine for most people. what are you currently using as a tablet?

Tab S2 8". Nice little tablet but the battery isn't holding a charge for very long. Funny how that is when they put out a new tablet. Love 4:3 screen ratio but can live with S6 long and skinny.

Are you happy with the performance, minus the battery of course, of the Tab S2? If so then the Tab S5e will be a pretty good upgrade and you should be happy. But long term the Tab S6 would be a better buy, considering you are still using the Tab S2 probably worth it.

Probably depends on the use case. I had brutal performance issues on apps like Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint especially running in DeX. Not saying the S5e is a bad tablet. It just did not work for me.

Amazon has a similar deal. I am waiting for my S6 to arrive. I will compare it to my S4 later.
