Should I dump the Note 9 for the S10 plus?

Taking away features yet charging more. I want Note 10 and I WANT it now!
So does anyone think there will be no Note 10 this year? If so I might have to buy the s10 plus now.

If they do produce the Note 10 it will just be the S10 plus with the S Pen.
I want to order but I'm so buried in this Not 9 at the moment.

That's the thing. last year I held off and kept the Note 8 and got the Note 9. I was glad I did.
When will we know for sure the Note is dead? Will they make an announcement or just leaks to confirm it you think?
Well, at least if they do decide not to make a Note 10 maybe by the time we find out they will have the S10 Plus price lowered. Would be better than paying $1000 full price. I would wait a couple of months. No sense buying the s10 plus if there is a Note 10.

What do you mean? The edges looked the same as the s8 to me but I could just be missing what you're talking about

Go look at an S6 Edge or S6 Edge Plus. The edges are similar, look steeper and sharper. Not as subtle as the Note.
I will wait for the Note 11, though I doubt that it will be any better than the Note 10.

I'll still wait for the note 10. If there is no note 10, the S10 plus will have promos by then. I'm not even sure I'll give the note 9 up anyway, I have the 512/8 version and the note 9 is working just fine. These phones are getting to expensive.

I'm really torn. I'm in my third year of owning my Nexus 6P, and I'm just bored by it at this point, even though it runs adequately. I'm a basic user, in that I don't game, run benchmarks, or take anything other than the occasional point-and-shoot. So, it's just talk, text, music streaming, YouTube, and browsing the web and Reddit/forums. I've never owned a Note, so I don't know what it's like to miss the S-Pen, but I feel like you get the most bang for your buck with the Note; and it's better to have the pen and not need it, than to wish you had it when you don't.
Having said that, the prospect of the SD 855 and the in display fingerprint sensor have me intrigued. But with my use, I guess I wouldn't be able to tell the difference in processor speed. I wonder how much battery the fingerprint sensor eats up throughout the day? Whatever I get, I'm sticking with for a long time, so... yeah, first world problems.

I'm sure this has pretty much been stated or implied already, but unless you just like getting new phones twice a year (and don't need/want the S-pen), I'm not sure why one would drop the Note 9 for the S10. Of course it has the newest features. But then the Note 10 will when it's released. Then the S11. And so on...

Just curious, where is that rumor? I've seen rumors relating to size and specs and features. Nothing about it not existing.

It was discussed on tech groups and pages prior to the note 9 being unveiled. Something to the effect of, that it may be the last note series and that Samsung will be focusing primarily on their S series moving forward.

I'm thinking about it. I have been using the Note since the Note 7 days and I'm kinda ready for a change. I'm ready for a smaller phone. Don't really use the S-Pen. Honestly I can't remember the last time I needed it for something. I'm a basic user and I'm close to a charger all day so I probably won't need to huge battery of the S10+.

I personally wouldn't, but if you feel like the S10+ will give you what you need in a phone and you dont use the SPen and have the money to spend, then go for it. I am completely happy with my Note9 - first time I am not tempted to get a new phone. This phone does everything I need it to and more. Besides, I love the Note line more than the S line and if they are not making the new Note 10 (wasn't going to get it regardless, but if they stop making the Note altogether) I will keep this phone for as long as possible before going back to the S line.
