Should I get an X now or wait for this TBolt?

Yea iPhone gets announced on 1-11-11 @11 to funny
So do you know something for sure. Like should I return my Incredible I got 20 days ago and hold out for whats going to happen next week?

Wait. The X is overrated. If you can't wait get the Fascinate. Even if the Thunderbolt does not score as well on benchmarking it will feel smoother than the X and probably the Fascinate. (Then again I am in full hate mode on both Moto and Samsung.)

I had the DX and it ran very smoothly, I was able to play with a number of custom ROM's and gain even more features I wanted. The fascinate is a POS phone, and don't expect support for 2.3 in 2011, they are still fumbling the 2.2 upgrade and after all 2.2 came out last May and the Fascinate came out in October. If Samsung is known for one thing its consistently screwing customers on OS updates. If you can't engineer it, don't make it.

I agree that Samsung sucks on this update thing to the point that I am not going to buy another Samsung device, but I still think it runs smoother than the X. That being said, I am more likely to buy the Bionic than the next Samsung device. However, I am so frustrated with Moto and locked bootloaders that I do not really want to support them as well.

I have had my X for some time now. I went from a Dinc to the X. The main thing I missed was the UI. I can say I really liked the HTC set up. Motorola seems boring to me. I have been waiting for a Evo like cell for VW. Now its coming out. I cant wait to sell my X for the Thunderbolt. Its all about how you will like it. If you can find someone with a X ask them to let you play with it, then find a DInc and play with the UI. Then make a educated choice. Either way you get a Android!

IMO, if you've dealt with the Tour for this long, make your wait worth something and just get an LTE Android phone.

As to which LTE Android phone to get, there are a few options. If you're concerned about tweaking your device and getting full access to your device, get the Thunderbolt. If you want the most powerful phone on the market, get the Bionic.

I agree with e30kid. I also have a BB Tour and am chomping at the bit to switch to an Android phone after seeing my wife and daughter enjoy their Droids for the past year. I'm out of contract now and so can upgrade whenever I choose, but I've been (somewhat) patiently waiting for the LTE phones to become available before jumping in. I like the Droid X but don't want to be stuck envying all the new LTE phones for the next 20 months, so I keep waiting.

I've decided to buy the best-for-me LTE phone that has a shipping date no later than 6/30/11, though I'd prefer one much sooner. That timing should include all four of the recently-announced Vzw LTE phones. Since I've waited this long already, I prefer to wait a little longer to get the phone I want and will be happy with for 20 months than settle for what's available now or first. I was very disappointed that Verizon did not release more specific availability dates and data plan information at CES. I wanted a date to circle on the calendar and an amount to budget. All we got was some nice pictures and incomplete specs. A bit of a letdown after all of the buildup.

+1

e30kid is exactly right. Want customization, hackability, and endless ROM choices? Then stick with HTC. Want bleeding edge performance, but less customization? Roll with the Bionic

It's not that one phone is better than the other; they just each have their own strong and weaker points. Pick what you like and you'll be happy either way
