I have the HTC one m8 hk edition, I really don't like skinned android.I regret having it. I do love the nexus 6 and wondering in getting that for my upgrade. But I know Google comes out with the new nexus device(s) in the fall. I feel the nexus 6 is worth having it since it gets updates on the latest android and aged well to last.. So should I get it or should I wait what Google's new devices coming in the fall???

Best Nexus phone on the market. Well question is wait for new phone or buy nearly old? What you need and what do you want to do?

Wait

What would be the advantages of waiting, in your opinion? Those that have the Nexus 6 and love it surely can't downgrade in terms of screen size, as well as the front-facing stereo speakers. So, what type of advantage would a potential Huawei made Nexus phablet have over the Nexus 6?

Rumors around is that there will be no Nexus 6 inch anymore. If you like the big screen, I personally love it, then get it now. On sale right now and a good buy. Awsome phone, and future proof hardware. Best phone I have ever had and I had a few, my previous phone was Note 4.

I can't offer you technical reasons, the only reason is options. The option of buying the new one or the old one.

You'd sacrifice .3" of real estate on a Huawei-made Nexus phablet, as well as the dual front speakers. Unless Google implements some sort of multi window function, how is this year's phablet an upgrade?

Some say that newer doesn't always mean better.

Honestly I don't think the nexus 6 is better than any other android flagship, so if you're considering a nexus device you never expect better.

But if we're comparing to other nexus devices, again you just have the option to choose.

If you like a bigger screen, then go ahead and get the Nexus 6. I love it, and Motorola made it perfectly. Huawei would never be able to make a better phablet, and LG's Nexus will have a 5.2" screen if I remember correctly....

Short story: if you like but screens, get Nexus 6 now

I'd wait. Camera is middling and it appears the days of nexus being immune to carrier interference are drawing to a close.

At the end of the day it will ultimately have to be YOUR CHOICE on what phone YOU want!

As far as the "wait" game goes you could wait until the phones coming out in the fall, but then just when they are released something else catches your eye. What are you gonna do? Wait for the new 2016 phones? You would just be in a continuous "wait" game.

Get what YOU want!

I would say get the Nexus 6 now. Reason being, my Nexus 5 runs just as well as the Nexus 6. So, the new Nexus phones probably won't be much of an upgrade if any over the Nexus 6. Plus, accessories are already available for it. You may not even be able to find the new Nexus phones when they are released. And they are offering the current Nexus 6 for a discount.

I wonder what kind of screen the new Nexus 5 is going to have. I've become partial to AMOLED screens.

The age old question that has been asked numerous times here.........

Since you're looking for opinions, here's mine: I would get the Nexus 6 since it is relatively cheap, will be updated for quite some time, has great specs that is future proof for at least 2 more years, is big :) , great screen, fast, can play any game easily, looks good, very tweakable and highly supported in the "ROM" community, quad HD screen, wireless charging, ambient display, and because it's the best you can get NOW.

I really don't think you'll notice much (if any) difference in speed with the new Nexus if you wait. But unless a fingerprint scanner, USB-C, and a 64bit cpu are important, I say go with the Nexus 6. It's awesome.

Just think, the Nexus 5 is still sought after as we speak, and a very good, fast phone . If I had a cache of brand new Nexus 5's, I could sell all of them in a heartbeat. People are still buying the Nexus 4 for that matter. (yes, you can still find them new if you look hard enough)

I say go for the Nexus 6 and wait until the Nexus 2016. That's my plan anyway.

The problem is that we still have no concrete information on what the next Nexus will be... it is hard to make a sound decision based on rumors. I mean, there's one going around where the Nexus 5 2015 splashed a 85K AnTuTu score in testing. That's ridiculously high and most likely junk, but illustrates that with the lack of real information, everyone is able to say just about anything.

Buy Nexus 6 now and in the fall sell the Nexus 6 and buy new Nexus, repeat for each Nexus.
