Show us your Bixby Quick commands!

"Open Pandora" works for me. I would try "open poweramp" and if that doesn't work "open poweramp app". The second will probably work if the first doesn't.

That's not how the quick commands work as best I can tell. The options all seem to be stock/pre-built by Sammy and there doesn't seem to be a way to add custom commands or even change the source app for existing commands.

I'm getting better at imagining what Quick Commands I'd like Bixby to handle. I talk to it until I have individual tasks I want done, then make a quick command and add the individual tasks from history.

One thing is eluding me: I have "Vibrate", "Silent", and "Normal" commands that just change the sound mode if my phone is across the room or whatever. The last two tasks in each are go to home screen, and to lock the screen.

The screen doesn't lock, though. Just stays on until it times out. But if I say "Lock the screen" it works fine.

Ideas?

You can use your own words and Bixby will do different things. I just talk to it randomly asking different request until I get the desired task completed. Then I go back and make my quick commands using the history.

Here's a general Bixby question for setting Quick Commands...

Can you set them to open a specific app?

For example, the "stock" quick command actions for saying "good morning" includes playing music. However, it opens Google Play Music. That is not the music player I want to use. Is there a way to get it to open my preferred player (Poweramp) instead?
It's opened every app that I've asked it to open. Just practice talking to Bixby, don't worry about the preset commands. Just talk to it and if your not getting the desired results, ask the question or task differently. Bixby is extremely literal so you have to talk your request through like your writing a direction in a manual.

For example, if I wanted to add something I ate to Samsung health to monitor my food intake, I can't just say hi Bixby, add spaghetti to my dinner. Instead I say hi Bixby, open Samsung health, go to dinner, add spaghetti.

I just started messing with quick commands today. Had been using Bixby since the first week (got phone sept 7). Heres my start.

Also I just told Bixby to update my Google play apps. It went in and updated the two that needed updated. Little things like that thrill me lol.

I'm assuming that all these quick commands are spoken after the usual, "Hey Bixby..." correct? So far I have not used Bixby. Tried it early on and it didn't seem to do anything well. And then when I found out it disabled the camera function of taking photos verbally I ditched it altogether. If an update fixes that conflict I might give it a go again but I tend to not enjoy talking to the phone. I'm almost always around others and it just seems weird.

You can also press the Bixby button and type the command. Although it won't be as quick depending on what you want it to do could save you some time.

Bixby still works with taking a photo I was having issues with it a few days ago but now everything seems to be working fine I think I did have some Bixby and other Galaxy updates here is a picture I just took just by telling Bixby to take it

Bixby is ticking me off. I have the good night bixby turn down volume and good morning bixby turn up volume and she says she does but doesn't. Grrr. Lol

Sounds like she's giving you a hard time LOL. You checked on the volume doesn't go up or down? Maybe you need to give it a percentage. I can tell her to increase or decrease the screen brightness and I use a percentage and she does it I'm going to try that with volume and see what happens

I just tested Bixby on my phone I told her to increase volume to 85% and she did it if you haven't use percentages in your quick commands try that it should work

Yeah volume didn't move at all after the first time I set it.

Yeah it worked with percentages but I have it set this now and it works great. Hopefully it stays that way.
