Show us your pics here!

Can someone post some portrait shots please? Would like to see if they come out close to a par with iPhone 12 or if they are overly smoothed / beautified?

Here are a few moon shots this evening.

All the pics look good to me. I am anxious to get the phone. We do a lot of video but I do have 3 cats and take lots of pictures LOL! I don't own an nice camera but I'm sure the pics will be better compared to my S10 Plus so I'll be good.

Likewise with taking lots of pics of our dogs! If anyone could post some more pet pics, that'd be great!

My first with the camera. Find it takes great set up photos, but the slight lag in shutter compared to my Pixel 4 will take some getting used to. I tend to do a lot of action moving shots as my girl likes to run a lot lol

Since that 2nd update I got yesterday I've noticed standby battery drain and general battery usage improved. Also signal seems stronger but as for camera improvements which was stated in 2nd update I can't tell yet as it's been night time since

What's your build number?

I'm at G998USQU1AUA3 updated 28 Jan.

The S21+ did better today with photos with the Scene Optimizer turned off.

I still think it over does it a bit on the exposure and skin smoothing, and the shutter is certainly a touch slower than it should be (compared to Pixel or not, the fact is it's not instantaneous and shots def blur if there is motion -- I wonder if you're better off shooting video and exporting a frame from that...?) but otherwise, it seems the S21+ will end up being a keeper for me. I'll just have to learn to adjust to the quirks of the still photography. Mainly, I'm adjusting the contrast before I snap.

The video taking capabilities of the Samsung deserves mention, too. It is just leagues better than the Pixel. Videos come out sharper, smoother, with better color representation and adjustment to changing lighting, and better audio, too.

Great night mode images but this last one I post has horrid purple lens flare. It happens if you stand too close to lamps

Also why do portrait images keep coming out wrong way up??

Testing portrait mode with some more teddy bears, one of these is with a full frame Sony A7R2 with an 85mm 1.4 lens and the other with the S21. I am pretty impressed with how close these are. I processed both the exact same way. Can you tell which is which, click on full size to get better quality

I read to try using single take when you know there might be movement then it will freeze the action and you can choose the best photo of the group, I have not tried it yet
