I've noticed when you use 10x zoom if someone is moving there is strange looking grainy artifacts all around them especially faces

Testing portrait mode with some more teddy bears, one of these is with a full frame Sony A7R2 with an 85mm 1.4 lens and the other with the S21. I am pretty impressed with how close these are. I processed both the exact same way. Can you tell which is which, click on full size to get better quality

thanks for your picture. @Emig5m, may i ask if you used a tripod?

how did you stop camera shake when zooming in 100X? confused here.

No tripod. Held steady with two hands. Point and shoot with scene optimizer on. The S21 seems to stabilize a lot better at max zoom than the S20 did - I think I even seen in a video on youtube where they talked how it would lock onto a target at full zoom to stabilize itself. I remember trying to use a cheap boom mic stand as a tripod with my S20Ultra to take a photo of the moon but it's so cheap, flimsy, and unstable that just using my hands is more stable at taking zoom pics because when I tried to tap the screen to take a pic the cheap mic stand would move lol. I would like to have a real tripod.

These are great shots!! Mine arrives tomorrow and the camera is the main reason i'm upgrading. I'm hoping to achieve some results such as these as opposed to what others are saying.

Portrait Mode. S21 Ultra. Considering she is sitting right in front of a bright window abouto a foot and a half away I'm quite happy with the unedited results.

in addition to the other youtube reviewer that someone posted previously, i thought this reviewer (i've never watched his videos before) does a really good job as well. between the previously linked video review (that someone else posted), and this reviewer, i think we'll have an excellent sense of how the S21 Ultra's cameras measure up! (hint: very well!)
